Construction work, in general, consists of resurfacing the pool, see Technical Specifications for details; and other incidental work. Each Contractor is responsible to make on-site inspections of the swimming pool and location in order to verify square footage and the scope and complexity of services requested. Site inspections shall be conducted through appointment only as set up through Todd Wallace. Please call (928) 684-5451 X1523 to schedule an appointment. Each bid shall be submitted on the bid form(s) included in the Contract Documents shall be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, Wickenburg reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality in a bid or to withhold the award for any reason Wickenburg determines. Project Surface Area: 6,000 Square Feet Project Perimeter: 450 Linear Feet Project Internal Area:8,500 Square Feet Project Depth: 0 feet to 9 Feet The Town of Wickenburg is requesting bids for the resurfacing of its outdoor pool located at Coffinger Park, 175 Swilling Avenue in Wickenburg Arizona. The scope of work shall include, but is not limited to the removal and disposal of the existing pool surface, applying new tile and pebble surface on the pool. Contractor shall comply with all OSHA requirements and safety guidelines associated with the work within this contract. Contractor is also responsible to procure and post any required permits prior to the commencement of work. Work is to be performed Monday - Friday during approved hours. It is the contractor's responsibility to create a safe working environment including sectioning off working areas. PREPARATION OF POOL SURFACE The contractor will be responsible for draining the pool. Remove all existing pool surface including, pebble, waterline tile, and haul away. Cut and chip out around all fittings, returns, and drains. Inspect pool surfaces to identify conditions that might interfere with proper bonding of coating and repair as needed. Pressure test all existing plumbing lines. INSTALLATION Supply and install new waterline 6x6 tile. Include skimmers, step trim, depth markers and silicone caulk top joint. Supply and install new 6" x 6" (8) lane lines and targets. Supply and install new 1" x 1" non-slip tile at zero entry area. Repair grabrail anchors. Supply and install new step handrails (2) and ladder grabrails (5). Repair pool slide as needed. Replace (13) existing pool lights with white LED. Remove and replace all suction frame and grates and install new VGB ANSI/APSP/ICC-16 2017 compliant frame and grates. All pool finish work must strictly follow manufacturer installation guidelines, references and recommendations. Inspection will be completed by the Town of Wickenburg to determine that work has been performed according to specification, and workmanship, and to the satisfaction of the Town of Wickenburg Parks and Facilities staff. START-UP Clean-up interior and exterior surfaces. Blow-out lines. Fill pool, include startup chemicals. Provide owner instructions for care and maintenance. Test water and adjust chemistry to best avoid discoloration and scale.
