DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of site mobilization and demobilization; removal of surface crushed shell; excavate approximately 14 of material within the borders shown on the plans; prepare and compact subbase soil; add geotextile material; add and compact aggregate base; add approximately 1 of bedding sand; install open-cell pavers in a running bond grid pattern sloping gradually toward the existing retention area; fill cells with specified material; and all other ancillary work as indicated on plans. To ensure fair consideration for all Bidders, the City of Flagler Beach prohibits communication with any department or employee during the bid process, except as provided herein. All bids are solicited and shall be made pursuant to the Code of Ordinances, City of Flagler Beach, Chapter 2, Article VI, Division 2, Section 2-256, and all bids will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions thereof. Code of Ordinances, City of Flagler Beach is on file in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 105 S. 2nd Street, Flagler Beach, Florida. The City of Flagler Beach, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all nonsubstantial irregularity in bids received, whenever such waiver or rejection is in the best interest of the City.
