Great Falls College MSU is requesting information in regards to potential services to be provided, and the cost for such services, for Custodial Services, Grounds Maintenance, and Snow Removal for the campus. This RFI is being sought strictly for the purpose of gaining knowledge of services available with an estimate of their corresponding costs and should not be construed as intent, commitment, or promise to acquire services, supplies, or solutions offered. No contract will result from any response to this RFI. GROUNDS MAINTENANCE : Contractor will provide lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing services for all grass areas on campus from April to October, or as needed. Contractor will mow the grass at a height of three inches, unless otherwise specified by GFCMSU Director of Facilities. Contractor will trim around trees, buildings, fences, and other obstacles. Contractor will edge along sidewalks, curbs, and parking lots. Contractor will blow away any grass clippings or debris from paved surfaces. 1.1.2 Contractor will provide fertilization, weed control, pest control, and irrigation turn on and turn off services for all grass and landscaped areas on campus. Contractor will apply fertilizer four times a year, or as needed. Contractor will maintain and operate the irrigation system, including adjusting the sprinkler heads, repairing any leaks, and winterizing the system. Contractor will follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the use of pesticides and herbicides and will keep records of all applications. Contractor will notify GFCMSU Director of Facilities at least 24 hours before any chemical application. 1.1.3 Contractor will trim trees/bushes of dead limbs and dispose of debris as directed by the Director of Facilities Services. SNOW REMOVAL 1.2.1 Contractor shall monitor the weather conditions and snow accumulation on GFC MSU campus and be ready to perform snow removal services when needed. 1.2.2 Contractor will plow snow when accumulation exceeds two inches. The contractor shall complete the snow removal within 4 hours of the snow accumulation reaching or exceeding 2 inches. Snow shall be cleared from the entire surface of the parking lots, including the entrances, exits, lanes, and stalls. Contractor shall pile the snow in designated areas that do not obstruct the visibility, traffic, or access of the parking lots. Sand or other de-icing materials shall be applied at the entrances of the parking lots as needed to prevent ice formation and ensure traction. Information submitted in response to this RFI will become the property of Great Falls College MSU. Great Falls College MSU will not pay for any information herein requested nor is it liable for any cost incurred by the vendor.
