Description: Qualified firms and/or contractors licensed to do work in Dorchester, SC are invited and encouraged to submit a proposal to provide "On-Call" Stormwater Pipe and Box repair, replacement, and installation services at various locations in Dorchester County. Work will be in accordance with the Bid Sheet and Specifications provided. All unit costs will be turn-key and include all ancillary costs of repair, replacement, and installation to include but not be limited to mobilization, traffic control, excavation, dewatering, pipe bedding, backfill and compaction. Asphalt repair will be paid separately. Damage to Property: The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to take all necessary precautions to prevent damage to private residences/businesses. Any damage to public or private property caused by the pipe replacement shall be the sole responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. Any repairs, restoration, or cleaning that is necessitated by project shall be the sole responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. Award of Contract will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) whose bid, conforming to the IFB, is most advantageous to the County, price and other factors considered. The County reserves the right to make multiple awards based on the capacity of each Bidder, beginning with the Lowest Responsible Bidder.
