The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all materials, appurtenances, tools, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install complete in place the major work noted below in addition to other bid items identified in this contract. A. One Thousand six hundred (+-1,600) LF of 20" C-900 PVC Class 235 water main by open cut B. Two 20" Butterfly Valves, 20 LF of 30" Steel Casing at Min. T=0.3125 in. C. ALL GATE VALVES, BUTTERFLY VALVES WITH ASSOCIATED VALVE OPERATORS SHALL BE MADE IN AMERICA. The above listed work together with all associated appurtenances and other incidental items to complete this project will be installed in the following locations in the City of Irving: A. Perry Street from S Nursery to Irving Heights Blvd. The City of Irving strongly encourages bidders to submit their response to this bid electronically. Please call the individual listed on the bid if you require assistance with this submittal. Electronic bidding will eliminate errors and unnecessary work, and is more friendly to the environment. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. The City shall have the authority to specify the sequence of construction for all work performed on this project and this shall be considered a non-pay item. Unless approved in writing by the Engineer, the Contractor shall provide and maintain access to all commercial and/or residential driveways and cross streets during construction at all times and this shall be considered a non-pay item. The City will not reimburse the Contractor for any water used to perform the work required in this contract. The Contractor shall review and understand the requirements for solid waste disposal (Section 01516) in the City of Irving. CITY WILL NOT PUBLISH THE ENGINEER'S COST ESTIMATE OR THE BID TAB UNTIL AFTER THE PROJECT HAS BEEN AWARDED...NO EXCEPTIONS! Two mandatory pre-bid conferences will be held via Zoom.
