The City is looking to purchase a KOHLER EMERGENCY BACKUP GENERATOR for a remote pump station. The unit must be a 125kw rated and utilize natural gas combustion. Deliver to: Unit will be delivered/installed at the following address- 40 Progress Lane, Waterbury CT. 06708 Purchase and installation of an Emergency Backup Generator (specified below), which includes all wiring and electrical work needed from the generator to the existing transfer switch. Includes delivery and placement of unit on generator pad. Proposal should encompass all labor, material, start up services, and factory warranty for a minimum of one year. The generator pad will be installed by the City, per the requirements of the bidder and unit tolerances. Substitutions of equal electrical rating, combustion propellant, and size will be considered. Shipping and Delivery should be included in the total cost. The Contractor shall not commence work under this Contract until all insurance required has been obtained by the Contractor and such insurance has been approved by the City. The Contractor shall not allow any subcontractor to commence work on any subcontract until all insurance required of any such subcontractor has been so obtained and approved by the City. Insurance shall be provided by insurers, satisfactory to the City and authorized to do business in the State of Connecticut, an "A-" Best's Rating and at least a Class V3 or better financial size category as shown in the most current A.M. Best Company ratings. Questions will need to be submitted by September 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. and Responses will be issued by us via an Addendum no later than September 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. The City of Waterbury shall receive written notice of cancellation from the Contractor at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the date of actual cancellation, regardless of the reason for such cancellation. The City of Waterbury and its Board of Education are listed as additional insured on all lines of coverage on a primary and non-contributory basis on all policies except Workers Compensation and Professional Liability. All policies shall include a Waiver of Subrogation. Said certificates shall contain a provision that coverage afforded under the policies shall not be cancelled or reduced for any reasons unless notice of than thirty (30) calendar days has been mailed to the City's Using Agency and a copy to the City's Office of Corporation Counsel, 235 Grand Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.
