Removal and Replacement of the Second and Oklahoma Streets Waterline Project In furthering our goal to continue to provide services to the citizens of the City of Fort Stockton, the City is seeking to receive sealed proposals from a professional qualified heavy construction contractor for providing all the necessary tasks, including the removal and replacement of the City's Water Lines. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the City of Fort Stockton to obtain the services of the highest qualified general contractor to assist in providing the City with all the necessary tasks, including the removal and replacement of the City's Water Lines Qualified general contractor will be evaluated only on the quality and experience of the company and its personnel. The City Council reserves the right to accept the statement which, in its judgment is from the most responsible firm; to reject any or all statements; and to waive irregularities or informalities in any statement submitted. The contract will be awarded either to the lowest responsible contractor or to the contractor who provides goods or services at the "best value" for the city. The City of Fort Stockton is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. By order of the City Council at a Regular Meeting held on the 9th day of September 2024. The scope will include providing complete detailed proposals for the removal and replacement of city waterlines. The City would like proposals to include all aspects and tasks of the project including all the necessary equipment, fuel, equipment transportation, and personnel costs to remove and replace city waterlines. The project will consist of replacing approximately 1,160’ of 4” C900 DR18 pipe, 1,600’ of 6” C900 DR18 pipe with accompanying 12 guage blue tracer wire, 2” buried water tape and accompanying fittings and valves to complete all new connections. The project will start at the intersection of 2 nd Street and Oklahoma Street.
