Consisting of sitework, (4) textile media filters, (1) controls, 5,525 linear feet 4" HDPE force main, 50 household sewer connections and all other necessary improvements and appurtenances as detailed in the project plans. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. All bidders must comply with the requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. St. Elmo-Irvington Water Authority is a drug-free workplace. All contractors that bid or work on St. Elmo-Irvington Water Authority projects must agree to adhere to St. Elmo-Irvington Water Authority's drug-free workplace policy regardless of number of employees. This applies to contractors and all levels of subcontractors. Copies of this policy are available upon request. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the date of the opening thereof. All contractors preparing bids for the referenced project shall submit a list of similar projects "successfully completed" in the last 2 years, having similar scopes of work with a total construction cost greater than or equal to this project. Prior to starting work, notice shall be given in writing to the Owner stating that the Contractor will have a certified, licensed "Advanced Installer-Level II" onsite during the installation of the wastewater treatment equipment. The contractor shall also have all underground utilities field located prior to beginning work and shall be responsible for any damage to the existing utilities during the work. ***Bid Event: All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder's License Number, address and name of the project.
