Sealed bids for collection of Garbage and Recyclable Materials and one (1) large item per week, including the preparation of all billing and collection of the same for all fees associated therewith within the Borough of East Prospect All bids must be plainly marked "BIDS FOR GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND RECYCLABLE COLLECTION FOR THE BOROUGH OF EAST PROSPECT" on the outside of the envelope. All bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, money order or bid bond with corporate surety in the amount of Twenty Thousand and 00/100 ($20,000.00) Dollars, which bid security shall be payable to the Borough of East Prospect. The work for which the bids are being solicited is the collection and removal of Garbage and Recyclable Materials in accordance with the bid documents and specifications during the three (3) year period of the calendar years 2025-2027, with two (2) annual extension periods which are exercisable at the sole option of the Borough. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in an amount of the fifty (50%) percent of the annual contract price as security for the performance of its obligations under the Contract. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion affidavit and a fully completed Statement of Bidder Qualifications. The East Prospect Borough Council reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and the right to reject any and all bids and the right to choose any alternative that it determines, in its sole discretion, to be in its best interests.
