San Diego Unified School District ("District") is soliciting written Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified consultants and persons to provide furniture design consulting and quoting services in connection with construction and major repair and modernization projects at various active UTK-14 school sites. Primarily, the services will support the Facilities Planning and Construction division's bond programs. District capital improvements are funded by three General Obligation bond measures: Proposition S and Measures YY and U. The District is comprised of 175 UTK-14 school sites and serves approximately 95,011 students making it the second largest school district in California and one of the largest urban school districts in the United States. The District is planning to award several as-needed agreements covering a period of three years with up to a two-year extension. These agreements may comprise multiple projects and will be authorized by individual task order and will be coordinated with architects, interior designers, electrical consultants and District representatives. Typical services shall include, but are not limited to, architectural programming to determine the types of furniture needed, qualities and quantities of furnishings, functions, design layouts, furniture drawings (2D and 3D), review of power/data access, locations for furniture, detailed furniture specifications, and furniture quoting services utilizing CMAS (California Multiple Award Schedules) for the provision of systems and ancillary furniture. The Board of Education for the San Diego Unified School District reserves the right to reject any and all submissions and to waive any irregularities.
