The two (2) original emergency generator radiators at TBRHSC are showing evidence of minor coolant leaks. Remediation is required to prevent failure and maintain cooling capacity. Each generator is a Detroit Diesel Spectrum model 1000DS-4 powered by Detroit Diesel/MTU 16V2000 diesel engine. The Contractor is to perform complete remediation of the radiators as required, including the associated pipe, tube, hose, and fitting connections on emergency generators A and B. It is assumed that for a rebuild, radiators will have to be disassembled and shipped off site. The Contractor is responsible for all parts and materials required for the remediation of the radiators, including the supply, install, and removal of a lifting apparatus in the Penthouse, cradle/dolly for traversing the path of travel, and temporary lifting device for the removal/installation from ground level to the level 3 roof. The radiators Must be tested off-site to ensure no leaks prior to reinstallation at TBRHSC. Post installation, perform a full system coolant flush and replace with new coolant, clams, filters with appropriate level of corrosion inhibitor, that meets the original manufacturers specifications. Each generator Must be tested to ensure 100% operational status for one (1) hour under full load.
