Reference Number 0000278367 Question Acceptance Deadline Oct 01, 2024 12:00 AM EDT The current conditions at this site are not code compliant as per NBC/OBC regulations for fire stop/fire separations. The project will seal all known and accessible penetrations within the wall, ceiling and floor systems which are identified as being fire separations while making the fire separations code compliant. The project is to address the current deficiencies in the fire separation system that poses potential health and safety hazards to occupants. Completing the repairs with Underwriter Laboratories of Canada (ULC) rated materials and assemblies through fire-rated caulking, mortar, blocks, spray and rated gypsum board, will bring the fire separations up to the code required fire resistance ratings. Bid Securities Mean a Bid Bond and Surety's Consent as Defined Below: (a) Bids Submitted at $100,000 or Greater Shall Include the Following by the Closing Date and Time: I. A Bid Bond in a Commercially Reasonable Form or an Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit Issued by a Financial Institution Authorized to Conduct Business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule Ii Chartered Bank in the Amount of at Least 10% of the Bid Price and That Shall Be in Effect Until Ninety (90) Calendar Days Following Closing Date. And Ii. A Surety's Consent Indicating That, in Accordance With Section 5.18.1. Of This Itt, the Surety Company Will Furnish the Contract Security Which Shall Include a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Materials Payment Bond of the Bid Price or a Consent From the Schedule I or Schedule Ii Chartered Bank That an Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit in the Amount of 50% of the Bid Price Will Be Furnished.
