The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for ondemand mark out services in connection with the following: On Demand Subsurface Locating Mark Out Services of County Traffic Signal, Street Lighting, Communication Infrastructure, County Sanitary Sewer, Road Maintenance and Drainage Nassau County, New York (the "County"), through the Department of Public Works, is requesting that qualified firms authorized to do business in Nassau County, to provide the necessary labor and equipment for on demand daily 811 Call Before You Dig mark out inquiry services and compliance relative to locating and marking the County of Nassau underground facilities. These services may include providing two subsurface utility technicians and Subsurface utility services on an as needed basis to address sanitary sewer, road maintenance and drainage mark out requests. This project has an estimated cost of $3,600,000 with a proposed contract duration of three years. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals. To complete the registration process, please click on the New Vendor registration link Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The proposer shall be required to comply with a good faith effort M/WBE goal and good faith effort minimum of 6% SDVOB goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, "Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts," and 2-2016, "Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts." All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
