Question Deadline 10/09/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Purpose and Background The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to solicit bids from interested and qualified Vendors for ad hoc emergency response activities conducted to address spills of hazardous/dangerous materials to land or water, as well as diving/salvage operations and may include disposal or recycling of associated materials or wastes. Vendors can bid on one, multiple or all of these categories: Category 1: Land Based Work Category 2: Water Based Work Category 3: Diving and Salvage Related Operations Descriptions of the categories are listed in Section 4. Specifications and Scope of Work. Annual spend is estimated to be approximately $300,000. Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) and Seattle City Light (SCL) will be the main users of the contracts resulting from this solicitation, but other user departments may use them as well. The City must have the ability to contact the service provider 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with an expected response time of 2-hours for events occurring in Seattle and 4-6 hours for events occurring outside of Seattle. Contracts resulting from this solicitation will only be used for materials that cannot be addressed by internal mechanisms available to City staff. Pool Contracts The City intends to award a pool of eligible, qualified and competitive contracts for these products and/or services. The City may place orders with any of the resultant contract vendors, selecting the vendor the City wishes to use in any manner that the City department placing the order chooses.
