VERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Triangle Associates, Inc., Construction Manager for Grand Rapids Public Schools, will receive proposals from qualified bidders for BP #2: Reno. to Coit Arts Academy (Summer 2025) project. Bids are due no later than 10 AM, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at the GRPS Facilities Building located at 900 Union Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Specific Items of Construction: 1 This project is located in a K-12 educational setting. Site safety, jobsite behavior, construction traffic, site access, noise and dust control will be carefully monitored and strictly enforced. All trades will be responsible to comply with site limitations and support just in time deliveries and mobile footprints while working onsite. Everything shall be coordinated in advance with Triangle's Site Superitendent. 2 Every employee on site, must first pass a background chack through ICHAT. Background checks must be submitted a minimum of week in advance of expected onsite start date. Contractor is responsble for timely submittal of employee background checks to Triangle for GRPS approval. 3 Technical specification references within the Work Category Descriptions shall expressly imply the assignment of all obligations and the entire scope of work within that technical specification unless so modified and superseded by the Work Category Descriptions. Note that unless noted otherwise, all Work Category Descriptions are including but not limited to all means, methods, furnish, installation, supply, take delivery of, quantify, proper storage, and coordination of all work with all other work categories. The scope of each work category shall include all of the work and contract requirements outlined in Division 1 complete. Further, each scope includes all bid requirements, contract documents, general and supplemental conditions and general requirements. 4 Coordinate delivery of material, storage and dispensation areas with Triangle's Site Superintendent prior to scheduling delivery to the project site. All delivery of materials to the site must be coordinated in order to facilitate timely installation. Laydown areas will be established as directed by the superintendent. 5 Provide continuous coordination with interfacing construction trades as required to complete construction activities of this work category as directed by Triangle's Site Superintendent. 6 The use of tobacco products will not be permitted on the project site. Failure to comply with this policy will be considered grounds for removal of any violators from the site. 7 Each work category is to provide its own layout and engineering required for work of its category. 8 Provide all labor, equipment, tools, hardware and miscellaneous materials necessary to receive, unload, inventory, protect, store and install work of each category including construction materials supplied by other work categories required to be installed under each work category. A public bid opening will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at 10:15 AM at GRPS University located at 1400 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
