Student Center Plaza Seismic Joint Repair: The project consists of the repair of concealed waterproofing defects at the seismic expansion joint system integral to the elevated podium deck in an occupied building. The work will include, but is not limited, to selective demolition of existing seismic expansion joints and concrete topping slab. New work will require the sequencing and integration of new 1-hr and 2-hr seismic joints, horizontal waterproofing assembly, and concrete repairs. Other trades included, but are not necessarily limited to, storefront/glazing, plumbing, sheet metal, and masonry. Plumbing work includes installing five new bi-level area deck drains and tying into existing storm drain system. All work will be performed in an occupied building that service students, staff, and the public at large. Estimated Construction Cost: $1,590,000. Mobilization and construction shall start June 17, 2025. Project shall be substantially completed by August 29, 2025. Construction Duration: 73 Calendar Days UCI reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this notice, to waive non-material irregularities, and to deem Contractors prequalified for the project. To prequalify, Contractors must agree to comply with all conditions including state prevailing wages, 10% bid bond, 100% payment and performance bonds, and insurance requirements.
