The City of Evart is requesting Bids for the construction of EGLE TMF Hydro-Excavating. The project includes the Work to physically verity the materials of three hundred-sixty-four (364) water customer service lines located throughout the City. Addresses where the Work will be performed will be provided with the final Contract Documents The Contractor will perform potholing at two (2) locations per service line at a minimum distance of 18 inches from the curb stop. One pothole shall be excavated on each side of the curb stop to verity the pipe materials. A total of 364 associated material verifications will be completed and provided to the City. To the extent feasible, the potholes should be located within the green belt of each service line. Pavement removal and replacement should be minimized. The anticipated depth of pipe is approximately 6 feet below grade but may be up to 8 feet in unique cases. The Contractor should prepare for sandy soils and shallow groundwater in low lying areas The Contractor will be responsible for coordinating Work in the public Right of Way with the City's onsite representative, providing suitable backfill, handling and disposal of unsuitable spoils, and complete surface restoration of disturbed areas. The Owner will be responsible for locating curb stops for the Contractor and coordinating Contractor's Work on private property with the property owners. The date the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The City of Evart reserves the right to accept any Bid, reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City.
