The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority will receive sealed bids for the Demolition Project. The removal and legal disposal of the material and debris from the demolition of one (1) commercial building with garage. A more detailed Scope of Work, project description, and contract documents for bidding purposes may be obtained from The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority as mentioned above. An asbestos survey for the commercial building is included in the bid package. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those contractors whose name and email or fax number are on record as having obtained these documents. All bidders are encouraged to contact Melissa Komar, Executive Director, (814) 535-6564 with any questions. To receive bid documents, please contact Michelle Cheche (814) 535- 6564 or mcheche@jrapa.org An asbestos survey for the commercial building is included in the bid package. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those contractors whose name and email or fax number are on record as having obtained these documents. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted and awarded, a contract shall be entered. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance, Labor and Material's Bonds along with the proper insurance, City Permits, and filing of no-lien agreement, before being awarded the contract. The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to re-advertise or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority for a period of not-to-exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. Bid proposal documents shall be enclosed in an envelope (outer and inner) both of which shall be sealed and clearly labeled "Proposal for JRA FY 2024-2 Demolition Project". The bidder shall be responsible for the placement of the firm's name on the outside of the bid envelopes.
