The purpose of this solicitation is to receive responses from qualified bidders to provide construction/construction related services for the redevelopment of Sunset Park. Upon completion of the bid process, the City intends to enter into an Agreement with the most qualified bidder. Pursuant to this invitation to Bid ("BID") package and in compliance with Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, bidding requirements of which are incorporated herein and all other applicable Federal, State and Local regulations, and the rules and regulations of the authorities having jurisdiction over any part of the services provided under this BID, the City is soliciting proposals to obtain the services of a qualified firm(s), to provide but not be limited to all materials, labor, equipment, tools, demolition, grading, transportation and permits to furnish and install riprap fill, pilings, boardwalk, kayak launch, concrete walkway, benches, gravel parking, trash receptacles, post and rope, landscaping, irrigation, and cross walks. The successful bidder shall be a Certified General Contractor licensed in the State of Florida with a resident office in Florida within 100 miles of the project site. Bidder shall have been in continuous practice under the same corporate entity for at least the past five (5) years. Bidder shall have a successful record of the construction of at least three (3) similar park improvements within the past seven (7) years. Please reference the Minimum Qualifications and Special Bid Requirements section in this bid for additional requirements. The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days or December 1, 2025, whichever is sooner after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid price payable to the City of Mascotte as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. NO FAXED OR ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. One marked original copy, three (3) copies and one electronic version (on a USB drive) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope; the bidder's name and address followed by "SEALED BID FOR Bid No. 2024-001 Sunset Park Redevelopment", address where bid is to be delivered or mailed to, and the date and time of the bid opening. All communications and technical questions related to this Work shall be directed to the ARCHITECT and/or Owner Rep prior to bid opening.
