See the attached Public Files for a copy of the Solicitation and other pertinent documentation., The roadway cross section for State Route 241 (also known as 1600 North in Orem and 400 South in Lindon) currently reduces from five lanes to three lanes at 1200 West (Orem) and State Street (State Route 89). This segment of 1600 North is experiencing congestion and is projected to experience increased travel times and queue lengths. UDOT is currently developing designs for the widening of 1600 North from 1200 West (Orem) to State Street to achieve the following improvements: o Reduce PM peak hour travel time o Reduce PM peak hour queue lengths o Provide active transportation facilities that are consistent with adopted local and regional plans The widening of 1600 North will add one travel lane in each direction from 1200 West to State Street and will provide shoulders with bike lanes on both sides of the roadway and a multi-use sidewalk/trail on the south side of the roadway. The project also includes a shared driveway for nine residences on the north side of 1600 North between 645 West and 800 West in Orem. The project requires full and partial right-of-way acquisition for various parcels along the project corridor and includes relocation of third-party utilities, including power transmission poles and other utilities. Scope of Work: The Consultant will act as Resident Engineer and will administer the construction contract on behalf of UDOT in accordance with UDOT requirements during the construction of this project. The Consultant will perform all CEM Network Activities (85C, 87C, 89C, 91C, 93C, 97C, 99C) in accordance with the Construction MOI. The Consultant will provide a constructability and estimate review and will participate in PS&E and CRM/final design milestone review meetings. Public Involvement activities will be performed by the consultant designer under an existing contract. It is anticipated that the Consultant will need to be under contract in the fall of 2024 to participate in the final review (PS&E) of the deliverable package with construction to start as early as spring 2025 and final project completion in the summer/fall of 2026
