This project encompasses the installation of two traffic poles, compliant with NYSDOT standards and manufacturer specifications, complete with foundations and mast arms. New signal heads will be affixed to the mast arms. Three (3) ADA-compliant curb ramps and crosswalk striping across Ridge Road will be implemented, with new pedestrian poles installed at three (3) locations. Electrical infrastructure will be upgraded to support both traffic signals and pedestrian poles. Existing roadway striping within the intersection will be removed via micro-milling. If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on September 27, 2024, from the office of the Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid sub- mitted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. Minority Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) firms are encouraged to respond. All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. The City of Lackawanna reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The deposit will be refunded to each document holder of record who returns a complete set of Bidding Documents in good condition within 30 days after opening of Bids.
