Project Location: Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve, Arco, ID. The Utility Building is located due north of the Visitor's Center. B. The Work consists of: 1. The approximately 4,000 SF historic Utility Building will be rehabilitated with new electrical, plumbing, telecommunications, ventilation and climate control systems, and updated fire suppression system. Building envelope will be improved with interior wall and exterior roof insulation. Office space will be relocated and a new restroom and kitchenette will be added. New interior finishes will be installed, the wood ceiling will be revealed and restored, the roof membrane, man doors, and garage doors will be replaced, historic windows will be rehabilitated throughout. Wood surfaces will be repainted or refinished, and masonry surfaces cleaned and repointed. Shop spaces will be outfitted with ventilation and safety equipment such as vent hoods and eye wash station. Exterior improvements include select regrading for ABAAS compliance, repaving to accommodate utility improvements, and building envelope upgrades and restoration. This building is part of the Mission 66 historic landscape and must comply with State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) standards as approved and integrated into the design. 2. A new snow equipment storage building, approximately 1,600 SF will be constructed adjacent to the existing Utility Building to accommodate snow equipment. The building will be minimally heated, include a vehicle wash bay for summer use and utility sink. Constructed as slab on grade with integrally insulated CMU wall construction and metal roof deck with TPO membrane. Large overhead sectional doors to be installed. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
