2024 Classroom/Adm Additions & Misc Renovations for the Grenada Middle School Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid guaranteeing the Owner the execution of Performance Bond and Contract. Each bidder is cautioned that he must comply with the Laws of Mississippi requiring each bidder to submit evidence showing that he has a Certificate of Responsibility, provided the contract or subcontract sum exceeds $50,000. This CR number should be so stated on the outside of the bidding envelope. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the date set for the opening thereof, and each bidder must comply with the laws of the State of Mississippi and all local laws relative to the performance of said work. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: Will be scheduled and notification will be made by Addendum. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive all informalities. This project includes the construction of 2 new additions at the Grenada Middle School and the installation of a new canopy over the existing drop-off. The additions will require new parking and new sitework for ramps, stairs, and access canopies. One addition will be a classroom addition that will have 10 classrooms, a fully equipped lab classroom, new CMU, brick, and stucco work, aluminum storefront windows with operable access, and HVAC, plumbing, structural, civil, and electrical work. The second addition will be a large new entry, secure vestibule, courtyard sitework, and administration building; this will include new CMU, brick, and stucco work, aluminum storefront windows, classrooms and HVAC, plumbing, structural, civil, and electrical work. The large entry will be a high arched entry with significant truss work to support the structure.
