Oakley Dam Outlet Works Remediation Project The Project includes the following Work: The proposed remediation project would involve: The addition of a new liner coating and repairs within the existing steel outlet works on the Oakley Dam. The extension of the existing steel outlet works from the end of the existing steel liner to the new valve structure. Construction and installation of the valve house concrete base structure and installation of the owner provided valves and project controls. (valve house wooden structure and roof will be constructed under a separate future contract) New air vent and vacuum release valve installed in new steel liner section to remove the air from the system during filling and allow for air to enter during a vacuum event. This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, 70901-70953. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United State Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Question Deadline 09/26/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. The Tunnel Lining may commence on Oct 20 th , 2024, or when the water is shut off for the irrigation season and approval given by the project owners. The penstock extension and valve house concrete construction can begin on the date of the signing of the contract as long as the irrigations flows are not interrupted.
