The project involves touch-up painting steel superstructure, replacing disconnected cross bracing members, repairing mortar joints and concrete spalls, and approach guiderail installation on a single span non composite steel I-beam bridge, having a total structure length of 65-feet It is anticipated that notice-to-proceed will be issued on or about October 10, 2024. to prosecute all of said work so as to complete by December 10, 2024 (60-day contract). A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming as obligee the Jefferson County Commissioners in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be deposited with proposal as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the successful bidder will execute the contract and furnish all bonds as may be required. The Jefferson County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality or bidding irregularities, and to award the contract as may be deemed by the Commissioners to be in their best interest.
