The total budget for the design and construction of the project is approximately between $3,000,000 and $4,000,000 which covers all costs for design, fabrication, delivery, installation, commissioning, and any and all items required for the completion of the project. The City of Moreno Valley (City) requests the submission of Request for Qualifications (RFQual) from qualified firms to provide Design and Construction Services . You are hereby invited to submit a completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and other material requested herein, as well as attachments for Public Works, Electric Utility. The City Of Moreno Valley, Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) seeks responses from qualified firms to design, fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning of an approximately 4 MegaWatt/8 MegaWatthour ("MW"/"MWH") battery energy storage system ("BESS"), along with related appurtenances, including, but not limited to, demolition of the existing capacitor banks and capacitor bank rack, and foundations, inverters, conduit, cable, installation of new pad foundations, batteries, install new relays, battery management/energy management systems that integrates with SCADA and transformersat the Moreno Valley Substation. This setup is designed to significantly enhance local energy resilience by enabling nearby facilities to operate independently during power outages, thereby reducing disruptions to essential community services and activities. RFQual shall be valid for a period of three hundred, sixty-five (365)calendar days after the Bid opening date.
