This project provides for the resurfacing of the travel lanes in both directions. The project also provides slab stabilization, maintenance and protection of traffic, median delineation, and permanent pavement markings. Work items include, but are not limited to: 18,907 TONS Stone Matrix Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, 1-1/2" Depth 38,531 TONS Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Binder Course, Variable Depth 223,214 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface 4,527 EACH Holes Drilled (Asphalt Stabilization) 81,486 GAL Asphalt 167,321 LF Temporary Pavement Markings 176,616 LF Permanent Pavement Markings 1,175 SY Installation of Epoxy Aggregate Overlay - 1/2 " Lifts Milepost 275.00 is located approximately 9 miles east of the Lebanon/Lancaster Interchange, Exit 266, and Milepost 282.04 is located approximately 4 miles west of the Reading Interchange, Exit 286, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) Any questions for this project must be submitted electronically in EBS by registered business partners by noon on the Friday before the bid opening date. Question Deadline 10/18/2024 at 12:00 PM ET A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
