Reference Number 000362766 Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites proposals from qualified Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) firms for services associated with the State funded Gina and Frank Day Health Institute Tower Project and other related projects. To make this project a reality, MSU Denver undertook a transformative initiative to establish The Health Institute at the Auraria Higher Education Center. This initiative is a collaboration of ten academic departments (Nursing, Social Work, Human Services & Counseling, Human Performance and Sports, Health Professions, Nutrition, Speech Language Hearing Sciences) with a common vision to revolutionize health in Colorado. The initiative will result in better health outcomes, lower costs for patients, and a healthier Colorado. To achieve these results, co-locating these departments under one roof is essential. Therefore, the six-story Health Institute Tower Project will connect to the West Classroom building to support growing health professional needs that will best serve the state. MSU Denver was approved for $65,000,000 in funding to build a six-story building. This building addition will house clinical, lab, and classroom spaces for health education, student and community spaces, and workspaces. The targeted construction value is approximately $49,000,000.
