Furnish Crane Monorail Replacement and Hoist Install Question Deadline 09/12/2024 Please address any and all questions, in writing, to Deborah Magaro-Dolan, Specification Writer, Division of Purchase at deborahmagarodolan@ongov.net Contractor Requirements: Contractor shall abide by all OSHA Rules and Regulations including all applicable Covid -19 rules and regulations per New York State. All workers must adhere to all required safety measures when in any building and while working. The Contractor shall remove all service materials and debris from the site when the work included in the Contract is completed and leave the site in a neat, restored condition. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to load, transport and dispose of refuse at no additional cost to the County. Contractor is responsible for all appropriate signage necessary when working. The Contractor represents and warrants that he is familiar with all Federal, State, County and Municipal Laws, ordinances, and regulations, which may in any way affect the work or those employed therein, including, but not limited to, any special acts relating to the work or to the project of which it is a part. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for complying with the requirements of all applicable Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Act provisions and requirements of any and all other laws, rules and regulations pertaining to employee health, safety, and accident prevention. Scope of Work 1. Pre-Construction Activities I. Site Assessment - Awarded vendor will conduct a thorough inspection of the existing crane rail system to identify structural concerns. Previous inspection reports conducted for the County will be provided to the winning bidder. II. Design and Planning - Develop detailed Engineering plans for the rail replacement and hoist installation, specifically detailing replacement anchor points in the ceiling. This shall include Engineering stamped drawings of rail, anchor detail, and overall configuration of the crane system. a. It is our intention to not install the new monorail in a similar fashion to what currently exists. Anchor points for monorail shall be installed directly into the ceiling overhead. III. Material Procurement - Source and acquire all necessary materials and equipment for the project.
