Turner Construction (Turner), Ardmore Roderic, and Chris Woods Construction Company (A Tri-Venture), also known as TAC, was selected by Memphis Shelby County Airport Authority as the Construction Manager on the Terminal Modernization & Seismic Program, TMSP. The TMSP will modernize and seismically update the terminal buildings, which are nominally 60 years old. The preferred terminal modernization concept will ensure the terminal facilities can accommodate future demand through a flexible facility that provides modern amenities to the traveling public and meets the operational needs of the airlines, TSA, The Authority, and other airport stakeholders. The concept includes modernizing the existing facilities versus replacing them. In doing so, the desire is to build off and improve the existing infrastructure, while at the same time preserving the character of the facility. The TMSP includes expanding and modernizing MEM's terminal facilities (terminals A, B, & C) to improve life safety including ensuring seismic resiliency as well as fire protection upgrades, meet future demand, reduce environmental impacts through sustainability, improve the customer experience, ensure flexibility as operations evolve and enhance Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access. The project scope will: . Expand the face of the building . Relocate and reconfigure vertical circulation . Reconfigure the ticket lobby . Construct a Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) . Expand the Security Screening Checkpoint (SSCP) . Construct an employee screening checkpoint . Expand bag claim and prepare an area for a future new FIS The Outer Roadway Package 2 will be the remainder of the Outer Roadway project. This will include the remaining infill of the tunnel, demolishing and rebuilding the existing outer roadway and bridge. In addition, this package will include roadway lighting, signage, pavement markings, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, etc. Contact Khalif Johnson (TAC Purchasing Manager) at 901-322-8072 kajohnson@tcco.com, if you have any questions regarding this Prequalification Application. It will be mandatory that subcontractors be prequalified with Turner prior to receiving an invitation to the RFP on this package. The Subcontractor Prequalification instructions are provided with the documents for subcontractors not already prequalified. Please note that a Prequalification Application shall be submitted in full and deemed acceptable as part of the RFP evaluation.
