The Contractor shall remove all piping insulation from the chilled water piping system. The contractor shall disconnect power from and remove pumps P-5 and P-6 serving the chilled water system in Boiler Room 117. The contractor shall disconnect and retain glycol injection system, expansion tank EXP-2 and air separator AS-2 for reinstallation. Contractor shall remove isolation valves and triple duty valves. Contractor shall remove and retain strainer for reinstallation, new strainer screens shall be provided. The contractor shall remove and replace in like size the chilled water piping and pumps within Boiler Room 117. The contractor shall replace P-5-and P-6 in Boiler Room 117 in like kind. Provide new isolation valves and triple duty valve. The contractor shall reinstall expansion tank, air separator, strainer, and reconnect glycol injection system. The contractor shall remove all grooved end pipe fittings and joints from the chilled water piping system. The contractor shall replace all pipe fittings and joints with welded or threaded joints, refer to specifications. Contractor shall thoroughly flush piping system by circulating with rinsewater for 6hours and flushing until rinse water is clear of any suds or solids and pH is matching that of the entering rinse water. Contractor shall conduct hydrostatic pressure test of system at 1.5 times the system pressure or 100psig whichever is greater for a minimum of 15minutes. Any deficiencies shall be repaired and test repeated until satisfactorily passed. Upon completion of the pressure test the contractor shall insulate the entire chilled water piping system. Contractor shall refill chilled water system with new 30% propylene glycol and fill glycol injection system tank. After completion of system filling contractor shall balance pumps and air handling units to original construction design values as indicated on the reference drawings.
