The project involves reconstruction and stabilization of 230 linear feet of the Orchard Mesa Irrigation Canal drain behind the Crystal Brook Townhome Complex. The project seeks to realign the channel further south, armor the slope, and provide permanent stabilization and vegetation of the stream and adjacent space through the property. A US Army Corps of Engineers permit, Nationwide Permit #39 and a City of Grand Junction Floodplain Development Permit have been obtained for this project. While the stream is seasonally influenced from irrigation water, the team should expect that the stream will flow for the duration of the work.
