The Schuylkill County Housing Authority will receive sealed bids for work to be performed at the Ashland High Rise - PA-16-14. This project is funded by the Capital Fund Program. Work includes: Removal of existing pendant sprinkler heads and the provision of new pendant sprinkler heads, complete and ready for use and in compliance with the latest codes and regulations. Bidders are hereby notified that this project is subject to the Davis Bacon Federal Prevailing Wage Rate regulations and Contractors will be required to pay the prevailing wage as indicated within the schedules. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the bid price shall be submitted with the bid. Bid security shall be in one of the following forms only: Certified check (drawn on a bank authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania), or bid bond. The surety must be on the latest approved U.S. Treasury List, Circular 570. The bidder will be required to submit a Certificate of Surety with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond and each shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. A one-year Maintenance Bond shall also be required. Cost of bonds to be included in the base bid. The Schuylkill County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any technicalities and informalities in the bid for the best interest of the Housing Authority, and to consider the competency and responsibility of the Bidders in awarding the contract. Work shall consist of the removal of 296 pendant sprinkler heads and the provision of labor and materials to replace 296 pendant sprinkler heads. 2. All work shall be performed in accordance with NFPA current standards. 3. Work shall be performed during normal working hours. 4. Contractor shall site verify all dimensions, quantities and existing conditions indicated herein prior to submission of bid. Notify design professional immediately upon discovery of any discrepancies and/or omissions. Contractor shall be responsible for understanding the scope of work to be performed. Neither owner nor design professional shall bear any responsibility whatsoever for the contractor's failure to verify all dimensions, quantities and existing conditions prior to submission of bid. 5. Manufacturers and/or equipment model numbers represent the minimum standard of quality, performance and appearance required. Alternate products and materials will be considered on an as-equal basis, pending the approval of the owner and design professional. Refer to project manual for submittal and substitution procedures. 6. Contractor shall comply with all manufacturer's installation requirements for all products unless noted otherwise. 7. Contractor shall be responsible to comply with all local, state and federal code requirements and shall fully responsible for securing all required permits. 8. All utilities disconnected during the course of construction shall be reconnected at the end of each work day for uninterrupted use by building occupants. 9. Tenant/owner shall be responsible for relocating personal itemems and furniture so as to provide contractor reasonable access to work area. Contractor shall be responsible to protect tenant's personal items and furniture from damage caused as a result of construction. 10. Contractor shall patch all surfaces disturbed during the course of construction and finish to match existing adjacent surfaces. 11. All items removed and not reused shall be disposed of off-site in a legal manner 12. Contractor shall submit full catalog cut sheets, shop drawings and samples for all products specified. Contractor shall not order any materials, products or equipment until in receipt of approved cut sheets/shop drawings from design professional. Question Deadline 09/30/2024
