This Project consists of three (3) primary objectives: replacing biological treatment equipment (RBCs), replacing tertiary filtration equipment, and replacing raw sewerage pumps, process piping and valves. Ancillary treatment process improvements include replacing chemical feed equipment and non-potable water system. Electrical improvements include new power distribution equipment, emergency power systems and controls. Additionally, building improvements include new access points, man-doors, roll-up doors, brickwork, and HVAC systems. Improvements and all related items are located at: Plant B 14600 Mill Hollow Lane, Strongsville, Ohio 44136 Plant C 17449 Sprague Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44149 Each BID must contain the full name or names of the interested parties, and in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, with a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio, and be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent bank or bid bond made payable to the order of the City of Strongsville, Ohio, in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The BID check or BID bond, as the case may be, will be held as a guarantee that, if the BID proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into between the bidder and the City of Strongsville, Ohio. The Council of the City of Strongsville, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or minor defects in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City. *It is understood and agreed that work embodied in this Contract for the Base Bids as awarded shall start on or about Monday, December 16, 2024 and be completed no later than Wednesday, December 16, 2026, unless an extension of time is granted by the Owner. A fee of $500.00 per day may be charged for work not complete by Monday, February 15, 2027 WBE (6.9%)
