Lynwood Unified School District (LUSD) invites bids from qualified contractors for the installation and configuration of a new owner-furnished Atlas IP-based public announcement (PA) and intercom system at eleven schools within the district. The successful bidder will be responsible for the complete installation, including providing all required cabling, wiring, programming, configuration, and integration of operating software to ensure a fully functional and reliable communication solution for LUSD schools. Background and General Intent The Lynwood Unified School District has already purchased and acquired indoor Atlas IP-based speakers (Model: IP-SDMF) and outdoor IP-based horns (Model: IP-APX) to be integrated with the Singlewire Informacast solution. The district seeks to install these devices in every classroom and to provide coverage of outdoor areas to enhance school communication at the eleven specified schools. 1. Removal and disposal of old PA Equipment: Remove and dispose of existing analog PA system head-end equipment. Save existing speakers/cabling for reuse where possible. Comply with local regulations for e-waste disposal, using certified recycling facilities. 2. Installation of new equipment: Install owner-furnished Atlas IP speaker clocks, horns, and accessories in all designated areas. Mount securely to walls/ceilings. 3. Cabling and wiring: Each classroom is equipped with two network connections. One is currently utilized for connecting a wireless access point, while the second connectionremains available for integration with an IP-based PA speaker system. It should be noted that certain scenarios may necessitate the use of an extension to facilitate this setup. Run any required conduit and cabling from the nearest IDF/MDF to speaker locations. Use plenum-rated cable where required. Terminate speaker cabling on patch panels in IDF/MDF. Label all cables and document port connections. 4. Configuration and programming: Configure and program all Atlas speakers through the owner furnished Singlewire Informacast software system. Coordinate any required networking/VLAN configuration with the district. 5. Testing, Commissioning, and Documentation: Test functionality of all installed Atlas speakers and clocks. Adjust volumes and settings as needed. Provide as-built documentation showing speaker locations, cabling, and patch panel/network connections. Train owner personnel on speaker configuration, software operation, and basic troubleshooting. 6. Warranty and Maintenance: Provide warranty and maintenance information for installed equipment to the owner. Coordinate any required inspections for final project acceptance Question Deadline 09/17/2024 at 10:00 AM PT
