The City of Bristol is seeking proposals for the boarding and securing of vacant structures, on an as-needed basis, through June 30, 2025. The awarded firm will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. The contractor shall cut plywood to fit doors and windows of buildings, and shall screw plywood to openings with wood screws not less than 2" length spaced not less than 2 feet apart. The contractor shall provide all materials and labor necessary to perform the work defined herein. Seal and secure single door The contractor shall be solely and completely responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the work. Furthermore, the contractor is solely responsible for the training of all their employees on all safety issues as required by OSHA regulations for the work. The contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent injury to, all employees on a work site and other persons including but not limited to, the general public who may be affected thereby. To adequately ensure timely response to work described within these specifications, the City intends to make award of this contract to firm(s) that are either within the borders of Bristol, or not more than twenty (20) miles driving distance from any border of Bristol.
