Terminal Apron Sealcoat, Crack Seal, & Remarking. The Award of the Contract Will Be Based on the Lowest Qualified Bid Proposal for the Project, if Awarded. Question Deadline 09/24/2024 at 12:00 PM CT No Questions Will Be Accepted A Pre-bid Conference Will Not Be Held for This Project. The Bidder Shall Guarantee to Hold His Bid Good and May Not Withdraw His Bid for a Period of Sixty (60) Calendar Days After the Scheduled Closing Time for Receiving Bids. The Project Being Offered at This Time is Not a Federally Funded Project, but Specific Requirements Are Still Required of the Contractor During the Bidding and Construction Phases of the Project. Each Bidder Must Furnish as Part of His Bid, a Bid Bond Payable to the Owner in an Amount Equal to Five (5) Percent of the Total Amount Bid. All Requirements Are Clearly Defined in the Technical Specifications. It Shall Be the Responsibility of the Prospective Bidder to Become Familiar With All of the Requirements of Bidding and Construction Prior to Submitting a Proposal on the Project Listed Above. Work Will Be That Associated With the Rehabilitation of the Airport's Terminal Apron. More Specifically, the Project Will Involve the Sealcoating, Crack Sealing, and Remarking of the Terminal Apron. Other Incidental Items of Work Necessary for the Successful Completion of the Project May Also Be Required. Additional Bid Requirements Are More Specifically Defined in Section B of the Technical Specifications for the Project. All Work Shall Be Performed in Strict Accordance With the Plans and Technical Specifications Prepared for This Project. Contractors Must Be Qualified Under Alabama Law to Perform the Construction Activities Desired by the Owner and Must Be Registered With the State of Alabama's Licensing Board for General Contractors to Perform the Work Specifically Addressed in This Project. Contractors Must Have the "Heavy / Railroad" (H/rr) or "Heavy / Railroad - Specialty" (H/rr-s) Classification. It Should Be Noted That Contractors Must Have This Classification Added to Their License Prior to Bid Opening or Are at Risk of Having Their Bid Rejected. The Successful Bidder, Whether a Resident or Nonresident of the State of Alabama, Shall Be Required to Comply With All Other Applicable City, County and State Licensing and/or Permit Laws. Bidder's Attention is Invited to Section 100 of the General Conditions and Its Referenced Faa Materials Relative to Pre-award, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Requirements of Non-segregated Facilities. The Owner, in Accordance With the Provisions of Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 Usc 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, Hereby Notifies All Bidders or Offerors That It Will Affirmatively Ensure That for Any Contract Entered Into Pursuant to This Advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Will Be Afforded Full and Fair Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation and No Businesses Will Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color, National Origin (Including Limited English Proficiency), Creed, Sex (Including Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity), Age, or Disability in Consideration for an Award.
