This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase process. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders. The second phase, (Phase 2), will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of a contract in Phase 2, the pre-qualification list resulting from the first phase will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. Following Phase 2 solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender. The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires a Contractor to supply all materials, plant, and labour to provide facility repairs, including float removal and replacement, wharf repairs, and riprap shoreline repairs. The work is located at the Pacific Science Enterprise Centre, 4160 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, BC. The work involves but not limited to the following: Removal and installation of gangway. Installation of aluminum gangway Removal and disposal of the existing float and mooring piles Supply and installation of concrete float and steel piles mooring system. The following are the two optional work which DFO reserves the right to exercise 3 months after contract award. 1. Repair Concrete wharf structure. 2. Repair existing slope protection (Rip Rap) as specified. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $100,001.00 and $2.000,000.00 (GST included).
