The clearing and sandblasting work will be carried out over a period that normally runs from 1 October to 30 April, or according to climatic requirements that vary from one season to the next. Sand removal work is carried out after the snow melts, i.e. before 15 May. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond representing 10% of the total amount of the bid, excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of a certified cheque, money order, irrevocable letter of guarantee or bid bond issued by a financial institution that is an insurer holding a licence issued in accordance with the Act respecting insurance (R.S.Q., c. A-32) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company holding a licence issued under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies (R.S.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (R.S.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c. 46), failing which the tender will be automatically rejected.
