The Project includes the following Work: o Install 50 LF of 30-inch RCP and two precast endwalls o Remove the existing 24-inch CMP o Temporary coffer dams for culvert installation and removal o Approximately 75 tons of dense graded base installation o Approximately 70 tons of asphaltic concrete pavement o All other associated erosion control and turf restoration. Remove an existing culvert pipe and install a new pipe. Provide a temporary coffer dam on the upstream side of both the existing and proposed culvert during work. Excavate and replace or provide embedment, initial backfill and backfill for the pipe work. Install dense graded base and asphalt for the roadway. Provide all required traffic control and turf restoration required for a complete project. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages.
