Major Bid Items Replace the Sewage Lift Station No. 4 Pump Controls Underground Utilities Pavement Restoration A Certified Check Payable to the City of Alma or Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and a Licensed Surety Company in an Amount Equal to at Least 5% of the Maximum Bid Shall Accompany Each Bid as a Guarantee That if the Bid is Accepted, the Bidder Will Execute and File the Proposed Contract and Bonds Within Ten (10) Days After the Award of the Contract. For All Further Requirements Regarding Bid Submittal, Qualifications, Procedures, and Contract Award, Refer to the Instructions to Bidders That Are Included in the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Conform to the Wage Requirements Prescribed by the Federal Davis-bacon and Related Acts Which Requires That All Laborers and Mechanics Employed by Contractors and Sub-contractors Performing on Contracts Funded in Whole or in Part With Federal Funds in Excess of $2,000 Pay Their Laborers and Mechanics Not Less Than the Prevailing Wage Rates and Fringe Benefits, as Determined by the Secretary of Labor, for Corresponding Classes of Laborers and Mechanics Employed on Similar Projects in the Area. The Use of American Iron and Steel (Ais) Requirements Are Applicable to This Project. All Iron and Steel Products Used in This Project Must Be Produced in the United States. The Term "iron and Steel Products" Means the Following Products Made Primarily of Iron or Steel: Lined or Unlined Pipes and Fittings, Manhole Covers and Other Municipal Castings, Hydrants, Tanks, Flanges, Pipe Clamps and Restraints, Valves, Structural Steel, Reinforced Precast Concrete, and Construction Materials. The City of Alma Encourages Dbe's, Including Mbe's and Wbe's, to Submit Bid Proposals. Bidders Are to Fill Out Bidder's Qualification Forms Furnished With the Bidding Documents. Forms Are to Be Submitted Separate From Bids for Review at Bid Opening. The City of Alma, Wisconsin, Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, to Waive Any Informality in Bidding, and to Accept the Bid Most Advantageous to the City. No Bid Shall Be Withdrawn After the Opening of Bids Without the Consent of the City for a Period of Forty-five (45) Days After the Scheduled Time of Closing Bids.
