Fox Valley Technical College is soliciting sealed bids to replace four (4) dual fuel boiler burners and one (1) dual fuel boiler at the Appleton Main Campus. This work will be awarded to one (1) contractor. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The project consists of modifications and additions to the existing HVAC ductwork systems. HVAC work includes but is not limitedto: 1. Removal of existing fiberglass duct board and replaced with new sheet metal ductwork insulated with either acoustic duct liner or external duct wrap as directed by the Owner. 2. Provide temporary support for any existing electrical conduit and/or boxes that are currently supported off existing ductwork. Provide permanent support for existing electrical conduit and boxes by other means after completion of the new ductwork installation. Electrical conduit and devices shall not be supported off mechanical ductwork and/or piping. 3. The Owner will provide existing HVAC drawings with the extent of the existing fiberglass ductwork highlighted for bidding purposes. The HVAC Contractor is required to visit the site to verify the existing duct routings should they differfrom the original plans to prepare an accurate bid. Failure to visit the site and verify existing conditions will void a bid. B. It is assumed that the contractor has experience in construction of this type of facility and will use that experience to develop a bid that includes those items required by code and those items typically found in this type offacility. C. Work Included: 1. The work covered by this Division of the specifications includes the furnishing of all necessary components and incidental items for executing and completing the HVAC work and work on related systems this includes: a. Labor b. Materials c. Tools d. Permits e. Temporary protection 2. Read all other Divisions of the Specifications which are applicable to this work, including the General Information section applicable to all bidders. 3. The HVAC Contract Requirements section is a supplement to and not a replacement for the project General Information section. 4. Failure to become acquainted with existing conditions at the site shall in noway relieve the responsibility for making installation in conformance with plans and specifications without additional cost to the owner. 5. Contractor is responsible for all cutting and patching associated withthe mechanical installation.
