The work includes storm water pipe repair and replacement and other related work indicated in the Contract Provisions. This Invitation to Bid is being issued in accordance with RCW 35.22.620 and RCW 39.04.155, which permit the use of a Small Works Roster to solicit bids. Only qualified contractors who are registered with the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) City of Newcastle roster, Stormwater category may submit bids. The estimated construction cost is $325,000. Question Deadline 09/13/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Location online portal. The work shall be completed within thirty days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidders must certify that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors or on the list of parties excluded from Federal procurement or non-procurement programs. Bids may not be withdrawn after bid opening. Financing of the Project has been provided by City of Newcastle, Washington. The City of Newcastle expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City The City of Newcastle, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21 , Nondiscrimination in Federallyassisted programs of the Department of Transportation, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award Requests for an interpretation or questions must be directed via email to Brian Miller at brianm@newcastlewa.gov.
