This project consists of a newly constructed 26,622 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal building located on the IHCC Main Campus between the Bennet Student Services Center and the Trustee Residence Hall. The facility will serve as a wellness center for students and will include a 35'-7" tall gymnasium with two basketball courts as well as 24'-7" fitness area. Support spaces will include a fitness classroom with accessory storage, restrooms, a large storage area, an office, a water entry room, a janitor room, and a technology room. The project includes fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, electrical, a fire alarm system, and interior finishes. Site modifications include tree removal, a new sidewalk, four parking spaces, and an access drive. A single proposal will be received for the work of the General Contractor including the work of the Mechanical Subcontractor (Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and Ventilating) and the work of the Electrical Subcontractor. Subcontractors of all construction trades shall submit bids to the General Contractor covering the scope of work bid. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash deposit, Cashier's Check or a Certified Check on a solvent Bank chartered under the laws of the United States in the amount of not less than 5%, nor more than 10% of the proposal submitted therewith.
