SCOPE: This project work includes, but is not limited to, interior renovations including barrier free kitchen and bathrooms, bathroom fixture replacement, flooring replacement, lighting, and smoke detectors; new windows, and doors. All product substitution requests for consideration must be submitted in writing to the Architect prior to one week prior to bid due date. All requests must be submitted via email to: kwaters@mcsagroup.com. Notice to Proceed/ TBD October 2024 Liquidated damages will be assessed to the General Contractor if the completion date of 120 calendar days from the date of the pre-construction meeting is not met. The amount of $500.00 per day for each day of suitable working weather, except for Weekends and legal holidays, that the Contractor exceeded the specified date for completion of the work. All bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guarantee may be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a bid bond secured by a surety company acceptable to the U.S a performance and payment bond in a penal sum of 100 percent of the contract price; or, as may be required or permitted by State law The Housing Commission has the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bids submitted.
