The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) invites bids from qualified Contractors for the construction of a Central Landfill Entrance Improvements - Phase 1 in Palmer, Alaska. The project scope includes building construction, site work, and all associated finishes. Questions Due Date: Sep 20th 2024, 5:00 PM AKDT The work shall begin no later than ten days after a Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer. Substantial Completion is set at December 31, 2023, with Final Completion of July 1, 2024. The project scope is defined by the plans and specifications provided by Respec Engineering and Burkart-Croft Architects. It includes the construction of all Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical components necessary for the completion of the project. The Contractor shall understand that this work includes but is not limited to the following o Clearing and grubbing o Excavation o Civil Work o Grading o Temporary stormwater/drainage control o Utility installation (power, communication, gas, communications) o Water well installations o New septic systems installation o Road work o Site lighting installation o Site Top Toil and Seeding improvements o Constructing the building according to architectural plans and specifications o See Alternates for additional information to the base bid o Installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing) o Electrical system installation (wiring, fixtures) o Interior finishing work (flooring, walls, ceilings, etc.) o Exterior finishing work (siding, roofing, windows, doors) o Compliance with building codes and regulations o Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers o Testing and commissioning of building systems o Acquiring and adhering to all permits required. o Maintaining record drawings and other project documentation o Any other items not specifically described here but shown and/or noted in the contract documents. o Construct Communications Building (The building will be a stick frame wood structure on a concrete foundation, 8 feet by 10 feet with 9-foot ceilings.)
