Question Deadline 09/15/2024 at 10:00 PM CT It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Questions: Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Julie Brown @ julie.brown@iowadot.us (see bid contact information). Any questions related to this project are to be submitted to Julie Brown in writing preferable through the Site. (See the cut off period for question submissions) DOT estimated start date is 09/15/2024 This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract) Project end date- 12/01/2024 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). This is a time sensitive project please see the attributes to indicate lead time concerns and once all materials are available how quickly can the work be done. No considerations or revision in the contract price or scope of the project will be considered by the Iowa DOT for any item which could have been revealed by a thorough on-site inspection and examination. The award contract will be required to field verify the pipe measurements prior to ordering materials. Contractor is required to provide all materials, equipment and labor for the removal and replacement of material as per plans/specifications outlined on the Line Item tab.
