Contract Number: DD00470 County: Nash and Halifax Counties Description: Bridge Rehabilitation The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for Bridge Rehabilitation Work Over I-95 Located on Bridge 500055 on Sr-1226, Bridge 630098 on Nc-4/nc-48 & Bridge 630225 on Sr-1515 in Nash and Halifax Counties. Firms that wish to bid on these projects as the prime contractor must be prequalified as a Bidder or PO Prime Contractor prior to submitting your bid. Firms that wish to perform as a subcontractor to the prime contractor must be prequalified prior to beginning work on the project. NCDOT - Bridge Rehabilitation - I-95 This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to treat the bridge decks with Latex Modified Concrete, repair and replace existing concrete bridge deck joints and seals, painting of bearings with HRCSA, substructure repairs, and replacing approach pavement. Work includes: shotblasting and preparation of the existing bridge deck; application of an LMC deck overlay on the prepared concrete deck; bridge deck joint demolition and reconstruction; removal of existing joint seals; installation of silicone joint seals; shotcrete and concrete repairs of substructure units; milling and replacement of asphalt pavement on approaches; temporary work platforms; seeding and mulching all grassed areas disturbed; and all incidental items necessary to complete the project as specified and indicated on the plans. Work will be performed on the existing bridge at the following location in Halifax County: 1.) Bridge #410055 - SR 1226 over SR 1227 and I-95 Work will also be performed on the existing bridges at the following locations in Nash County: 1.) Bridge #630098 - NC 4 / NC 48 over I-95 2.) Bridge #630225 - SR 1515 over I-95 Contractor shall provide all necessary access; understructure platforms, scaffolding, ladders, etc.; provide all staging areas, material storage, waste disposal, provide environmental controls to limit loss of materials from sawing, chipping and blasting equipment; and all else necessary to complete the work. No separate measurement or payment will be made for seeding, mulching, or any measures required to control erosion or prevent off-site sedimentation. The cost of this work shall be included in the lump sum price bid for Mobilization.
