Deposit information Deposit: 5% of bid amount Project description: The Project shall consist of: i) Approximately 3,700 linear feet of 16-inch raw water transmission main from the Family Drive well site to the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) located in Milford Central Park. Portions of the raw transmission main shall be directionally drilled as indicated on the Drawings. ii) Installation, testing and start-up / commissioning of two new submersible, vertical turbine pumps, with pitless adapter well caps, to be constructed at the existing casings. iii) A new below grade concrete meter vault to include piping, valves, magnetic flow meters and appurtenances for the two pumps being installed and space for piping from a future third pump. iv) Installation of power to the site, including a transformer and back-up natural gas generator. v) Associated site improvements at the Family Drive well site, including landscaping and entrance drive. vi) Piping and valving modifications at the WTP to allow the discharge from the Family Drive pump station to pass through the aeration system at the WTP. The project will include federal funding through a State and Tribal Assistance Grant (STAG) - Drinking Water SRF (DWSRF) for Community Funding Projects. The funding is administered through the US EPA. Requirements for that program will be enforced, including, but not limited to, Davis-Bacon wage rates, DBE and Buy American Iron and Steel (AIS). The project will be partially financed with federal funding and all requirements of the funding must be met. ENGINEER will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda, as ENGINEER considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. OWNER will not engage in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, or unrelated disability. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids. This time period may be extended by mutual agreement of the Owner and any Bidder or Bidders. The OWNER reserves the right to accept any or all Bids and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both; to reject any or all Bids; and in general, to make the award of the Contract in any manner deemed by the OWNER, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the OWNER. The Work will be substantially completed on or before September 1, 2025 ; final completion- before December 1, 2025. Question Deadline 09/19/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Scope of work for the yard drain outlet, boardwalk, overlook, kayak launch, and shoreline restoration requires a Part301/303/31 joint permit from State of Michigan Departmentof Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. No work shall commence in regulated areas until permits have been issued.
