The Commissioners Court of Nueces County (hereinafter called the "County") will accept sealed competitive bids for: Nueces County Hazel Bazemore Culvert Replacement (ARPA) located at 4343 Co Rd 69, Corpus Christi, TX 78410 in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents prepared by International Consulting Engineers (ICE). SOW summary for Base Bid is as follows: Nueces County Hazel Bazemore Culvert Replacement (ARPA) project consists of replacing a drainage culvert at a park crossing. The work includes installing new concrete headwall, 4'x4' reinforced concrete box, rock riprap, regrade ditch, repair street asphalt pavement, and all related appurtenances. Bidder agrees that if his/her Bid is accepted by the County, he will complete all work called for under the Contract Documents on or before 90 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed for the Base Bid, and if the work is not completed by such time, he/she agrees to pay to the County as liquidated damages, the sum of Two Hundred Dollars and no/100 ($200.00) for each calendar day after such time that the work remains incomplete, calculated in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall provide all tools and equipment that are necessary to complete the project in its entirety. All work shall be in accordance with the scope of work. All materials used for the project shall be equal to or better than the existing materials quality. The Contractor will be responsible for removal and disposal of all demolished materials and debris from the work area. The Contractor shall take proper care to avoid unnecessary noise, clatter or obstructions in walkways, sidewalks, and roadways. The Contractor shall not interfere with use or safe passage to and from building and adjacent facilities. Nueces County does not provide project estimated cost, in order to receive the lowest & best bid for our taxpayers. Time is of the essence. Failure to complete the Project within the contract time, except as such time may be extended by delays approved by County, will subject the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded, liability for damages, as provided in the Conditions of the Contract. Contract Administrator: Nueces County Community Service and Inland Parks Director, Edward Herrera will serve as the contract administrator for this project Note: The U.S. Department of Treasury will not extend its deadlines. All federally funded work/assignments must be completed and in full use on or before December 31, 2026. If the bid furnished with this project requires a bid on a lump sum basis, the Bidder shall enter the total price on the Lump Sum Bid Form. In the event bid contains a Schedule of Values, respondent shall enter a breakdown of itemized cost and total lump sum price. Lump Sum amount for base bid and additive(s) shown will control in determining the lowest and best bid. Bid date notes: Physical Bids Submissions (if unable to submit online): Completed bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked showing the IFB Number and Project Name for which the bids are intended, and the name and address of the Bidder.
